Happy Labor Day Weekend!

We had a blast at TEN HUT today in Planet Shakers!  All you camo gear is looking awesome!  Great worship too! Soldier and Light of Salvation is rockin our faces off!

 Be thankful and grateful this week for all the good things that God has done for you!  Thank Him in your daily prayers.

Main Point: I WILL REMEMBER THAT GOD HAS DONE GREAT THINGS FOR ME!  

Great job making cards for the troops today!  We will be sending them those along with our Revolution worship CDs.  God is using them to protect us.  So remember to thank God for them!

God will make a way for me to follow him!

What a super fun day we had in Planet Shakers!  Worshiping God singing Soldier and Light of Salvation rocked!  Learning from Boston and Beans that God will make a way for us to follow him was awesome!

Check out Philippians 4:19 in your bibles this week.  Read this verse alot.  Talk to God and tell Him you want to follow Him!

ATTENTION!

Hello cadets!  Ten Hut! Great fun we had this morning!  At ease.

Main Point:  God helps me through others and God helps others through me!  Focus on this throughout your week.  Think of ways to help others and share them with your family.

God can use you to help others, no matter what, just like He used Rahab in our story today.

TEN HUT!

Ten Hut Planet Shakers!  At ease.  We rocked it out this morning with our cool new series…TEN HUT!

Are you afraid?  And of what?  Remember our Main Point from today…and repeat it over and over this week.

GOD GIVES ME COURAGE WHEN I AM AFRAID.

We all have moments of fear in our lives, and we always will.  But it is so comforting to know that God is ALWAYS there to put His shield of protection around us.  We can always pray and ask for courage and protection!

Our story today was from Joshua.  The leader, Moses, had died and the nation mourned.  Then God called Joshua to be the new leader of Israel.  The Lord told Joshua to be bold and courageous because He (God) would walk with him.

Remember that God will walk with YOU too!  He loves you so much and will ALWAYS be there by your side!  Take comfort in that.

Pray for Revolution this week and invite your friends to join us nest Sunday!

Don’t Quit!

Last day of summer for you!  And Planet Shakers was a blast!  Great ending to our Super Sports Spectacular series!  We learned to not give up even if things get tough.

Main Point: To Play On God’s Team, I Shouldn’t Quit When TImes Get Tough!

Look up our bible verse:  James 1:2-3  We should become like Christ when we face difficult times.  And don’t ever give up!

Read our bible story: John 19-20 AND Matthew 29:19  Read about how Jesus and his disciples faced many difficult times.  Can you think of a difficult time you faced?  What about some difficult things you may face this week?  Lean on Jesus and don’t give up!

Have a GREAT first week of school!  Remember to be like Jesus to all your new friends!  See you next Sunday for our brand new series TEN HUT!  Dress in your favorite army gear!!!!!

Being Humble

Today we learned a very important lesson!  Jesus taught a great lesson to the disciples in Mark 10:35-45 on being humble and how pride can not only hurt you, but those on your team.  Can you make a list on showing humility?  Try it one night this week with your family.

PRAY

Hey Planet Shakers!  We learned a lot about praying today.  I encourage all of you to pray everyday this week and continually talk to God.

Main Point: To Play On Gods Team, I Must Never Give Up Praying!

Check out our bible verse.  1 Thessalonians 5:17.  Gods desire for us is to be faithful and persistent in our prayers.

We challenge you and your family to set aside a special time each day this week to pray together as a family.  Openly share prayer requests and needs.  Discuss what it means to never give up praying.  Explain how we don’t pray persistently to pester God into what we want, but God wants us to talk with Him on an ongoing basis to get to know Him better.  He will fulfill all our needs.

Read your bible story.  It is found in Luke 18:1-8  After you read the story reflect on what are some thing that you need to continue to pray for.

Invite your friends!  We only have 2 more weeks left of the LOCKER ROOM!  See you Sunday!

Who you gonna serve this week?

What’s up Planet Shakers???  Today was crazy fun!  Did you or one of your friends have to eat a nasty hotdog?  Ewwwww!  Baseball was the theme today and we learned that to PLAY ON GODS TEAM, I NEED TO SERVE AND HELP THOSE AROUND ME.  So put our main point to use this week.  Come back Sunday and share with us who you served and how you served them.  

Do you want to live a life of excellence?  I do!  Check out our bible verse in 1 Peter 5:5.

Here is a fun way to serve your family…..Take turns serving each other breakfast in bed.  While serving your family read them the bible story we learned today.  Its in John 13:1-7.  Jesus served His disciples by washing their feet.  Lets all strive to be like Jesus and serve those around us!

Invite your friends to Planet Shakers!  Only 3 more weeks of the LOCKER ROOM!  You and your first time friend can play the wii and have snacks!

Do you want to play on Gods Team?

Today we learned that to play on Gods team we need to share!  Grab your bibles and read our bible story.  Its in Luke 1:10-23.  Jesus sent out 72 disciples and told them to share the knowledge that he had given them.  What knowledge and gifts has Jesus given you that you can go out and share?  

Practice the Main Point:  To play on Gods team I need to share what I know and what I can do!

Matthew 28:19-20.  This is our weekly bible verse.  I know its actually 2 verses, its a long one, but its summer and you don’t have any homework, so it gives you more time to practice  your bible verse!  Come tell your captains next week for a prize!

The Locker Room is still open and available for you and all your first time friends you bring!  Come enjoy do-nuts, drinks and fun wii games!  See you there!!!!!

Spending time with Jesus

Hey kids!  Today we learned that to play on Gods team we must pray and read our bibles!  I challenge you to do this every day this week. Pray several times during the day.  Praying is just talking to God.  Open your bibles and read our bible story from today.  It is found in Luke 10:38.  Mary knew that spending time with Jesus was THE most important thing to do every day!  Share this story with your family.

Now look up and study our bible verse for the week.  Look up James 4:8.  Read this together every night at the dinner table.  At the end of the week, try closing your bible and saying it from memory!  Can you do it?  Practice!  Come back Sunday and tell your POD Captain!  He/She will have a prize for you if you can do it!
